We took a boat to the Abel Tasman national park and walked along the coastal track past lovely beaches, then a swim.
This is the centre of New Zealand in Nelson on the north coast of South Island. It is on the top of a big hill.
Hired bikes in Blenheim and cycled to 3 wineries and a lovely lunch. All wines very different considering they are only a few miles apart.

Zealandia is in Wellington and is a huge area of native birds and trees. Lot of walking today! Here is a picture of a flightless bird, the Takahe.
Arrived in Wellington the capitol and visited the beautiful botanical gardens near our hotel.
We are in Napier home of art deco buildings and Hawke Bay wines. We cycled to Mission the oldest winery in New Zealand.
