Queenstown is the adventure capital of the world so we just had to have a jet boat trip.
Thursday 12th. Tasting and lunch at Kinross winery. I liked all 6 wines we tried!!! Then watched bungy jumping.
Drove to Queenstown via Cardrona. Weather pretty poor but lots of lupins as roadside. Here is a photo from our 40 minute walk into town.
Lake Wanaka this morning before a boat trip to an island where we climbed a big hill. Then we had our first frisbee golf round this evening.
On the way to Wanaka we stopped at Thunder Creek falls. Russell catching water in his hat! Mike this is a joke so look carefully…
Beautiful day. Kayaked on Lake Mapourika which was like a mirror with the snow covered peaks reflecting in it. The picture is of our kit drying out as we swam in the lake.
And then today we saw this despite bad weather forecast! Its Fox Glacier
On Friday we drove to Fox River in the glaciers area. Could not see very much.
We are in Hokitika on the west coast famous for gold mining and wonderful sunsets. Here is the sunset tonight!
