The weather cleared at lunch time so hopped on the ferry and walked 4km to Mercury Bay Estate Winery for tastings and a light lunch. Best food we have had in ages and wines were nice
As usual it was raining!!
Visited Hot Water Beach this evening. If you dig down into the sand at low tide you find very hot water from thermal springs.
Captain Cook visited this bay in 1769. This is the view from Shakespeare Cliff (in the rain) on a walk this morning.
Terrible weather again, no walking. Apparently due to volcano in Indonesia.
Travelled south today to Coromandel peninsula. Visited these famous toilets on the way designed by the artist Hundertwasser
